Effective date: October 10, 2026
The Unopened is a puzzle-box game created by David Ramer. The short version: we don't collect any data.
What stays on your device
Your progress — which boxes are open, the positions of their pieces, the messages you've found, revealed hints, and your settings — is saved in a file on your device. It is never uploaded to us or shared with anyone. Deleting the app deletes it.
No network, no accounts
The app doesn't connect to the internet, doesn't ask you to sign in, and has no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.
Narration
Spoken lines use recordings included in the app or iOS's built-in voices on your device. Nothing you do is recorded or sent anywhere.
Purchases, ratings, and sharing
Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. "Rate" opens the App Store, and "Tell a friend" uses the iOS share sheet — you choose whether and with whom to share.
Children
The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
